Event Description

At Christina's request, date changed to this Saturday.

Evening sail from Nelson' Dock, opposite from the gate entrance to Nelson's Marine Yard. You can park anywhere next to the dock ramp, which is always open. You can't miss the boat, it has our logo IRG life rings on the railings, and I'll be there preparing to sail before 5pm.

Please print the Google Map shown above, because most people seem to struggle finding the boats!

Bring multiple layers to wear, it can get quite cold on the Bay. No heels (of course!). We have plenty of life vests on board for all.

BYOB and food. I'll be working on building Thunderbird 2 all day in the Yard with our volunteer crew so won't have time to provide any goodies!

Cheers,

Captain Ray

Thanks all, I really enjoyed your company and teaching the kids how to steer the boat. Thanks for leaving the food and drink, my volunteers enjoyed some last night and we'll have more for lunch!

If you have any ideas on how I can set up fundraising for our organization, please feel free to let me know, I'm just a beginner. IRG's had some fantastic contributions in equipment from manufacturers, and we have interns in putting together a boat donation program, but figuring out how to get cash donations has been challenging!

I'm confident that will all change when we finally get the boats on the water and run a couple of actual disaster relief missions, but that will be next year...
Cheers,

Captain Ray

Don't wait for me. I'm not sure I could make it before 6 PM because of the ferry schedule...
