Event Description

Sunday afternoon 8th April: At dock, beautiful! A chance to see Thunderbird 2 in her element and do a little work towards re-hauling for her final equipment installation! No special skills needed, here's a sample of some projects we have lined up:

  1. We are still clearing space in the cargo hold for our new generators - a lot of equipment needs to be sorted out and cleaned ready for installation
  2. Tidying up and sorting tools and parts, boxing and putting away in new storage drawers.
  3. Cleaning up the work area for our welders
  4. Clean up a donation of recycled marine fuel filters

Few skills required, you will be shown how to operate the grinder, wire brush etc. For someone who is mechanically inclined, we have a broken saw table that needs repairing...!

All tools provided, it would be great if you have your own overalls or work clothing, and preferably leather gloves, though we have a sample of overalls, leather gloves and eye protectors on board.

Very important - there will be plenty of "refreshments" and dinner party at the end of the day to celebrate our accomplishments!
