Hello all,

We learned of the IRG during Strictly Sail, Oakland.  We are interested in learning more and participating in activities.  My wife and I are medical officers at sea with Holland America Line.  We also have a Hudson Force  (Sailboat) that has nearly completed a retrofit.  We expect to be cruising in October.

My wife (Danya) and I have extensive experience working in disasters.  We met during the Haiti Earthquake.  I have also worked in Katrina, the Asian Tsunami and many other disasters around the world.  We specialize in providing remote and disaster medicine.  I fequently provide the initial managment of large disasters by setting up casualty collection centers and establishing the Incident Command System (ICS).

We work at sea for three months and then we are home for three months.  We hope we can use our time at home to be part of the organization and assist in disasters as needed.  We look forward to meeting you all.

Welcome! Thanks for attending our fundraiser at Angela's Bistro and Bar on Alameda last night, I enjoyed your company so much that I neglected everyone else there... Look forward to having you visit Thunderbird 2 and having dinner and a chat! I forwarded your IRG Page to Dale Bagnell, Captain of IRG Boat Moonshadow.

Cheers,

Ray

Ray,

Yes I think that I have exchanged emails with Rene at some point. He is active on Formosa website.

They sound like nice people. Maybe tey will want to come to the Su8mmer Solstice event.

Regards,

Dale

We would love to be at the Summer Sailstice, but we will be at sea with our jobs during that time.  Otherwise, it would be great to meet you all.

Rene

Yep, I couldn't remember the date you're setting sail but thought you would be away. But let's engineer other anchor out parties, hopefully by the time you're back Thunderbird 2 will be completing sea trials and we'll get together on the Bay.

Any pictures of Witchdoctor to show us?!
