Tandemeer is safe and happily at her new home port dock at Village Creek in South Norwalk after a wonderful sail from NYC and a day sail on Long Island Sound last weekend. Here we will be working on the boat, assembling crew and provisions and making her ready for her voyage south at the end of November. All are invite to come and visit or lend a hand for an hour, a day or a week. If you might be interested to sign on for a longer time and sail part or all of the way to Haiti with us, please get in touch and let me know. After Haiti we plan to cruise and visit port along the coast of Cuba.

Wow, visit Cuba.  That is pretty cool.

Great to hear Sequoia! I also think the Meetup group in the area is a great idea!

I initially joined when I lived in Texas, lost touch with Ray about doing some fundraising/presentations at yacht clubs there, but never got materials to use in presentations - at the time, he was still working on them. Meanwhile, I've relocated to SW FL (Cape Coral) and am still getting settled in and job hunting, but wanted to get back in touch with the group.

While I may not be able to do any sailings for now (WAH!), I have started networking with several yacht clubs in the area and joined some local sailing organizations. I would love to get back on track to spread the word about the wonderful work IRG does and hopefully crew in the next few years.

Will be back in Hollywood, FL by end Oct!
