Do you mind if I refer to "Three Sheets" as an IRG Reserve vessel? We have a member's bulletin coming up and I'd like to mention you.
It just occurs to me, it is quite reasonable to pay for your fuel out of donations to help cover your voyage. We are shipping for NEMO and they got 200 gallons free from a fuel dock here, doesn't cover our expense but pretty close!
This is just a brainstorm, but since you're in Grenada I presume you're only about 80 miles or so from Trinidad? Willie Haskins is doing a major donations drive for cash and supplies and already has a commitment from a bottled water manufacturer. They are short of a vessel willing to sail north however. I just thought I would float the idea that you do a pick up in Trinidad? Obviously I don't know how much space you have etc., but for the robust stuff like water we are working on deck cargo from here in St. Lucia... perhaps your fuel could be covered from the donations? We could also make it easier for you by staging in Rodney Bay, St. Lucia and having our local boats take the supplies on to Dominica, cutting your total distance by a similar amount... again, just brainstorming!
